Repair or replace · Denver, CO
It may still be under Sub-Zero warranty
A cabinet younger than it looks may still carry cover, and the sealed system carries the longest of it. Which clause applies decides who orders the part and who pays for the hands. Sub-Zero Pro Repair Denver — (720) 704-2791.

The three periods, and what each one really holds
All three run from the date of original installation, not from the day the appliance was bought. Two years covers every part of the product, labour included. Five years narrows to the sealed system and still covers the hands as well as the hardware. Twelve years keeps those same five items, but as parts alone: Sub-Zero repairs or replaces them and the household carries everything else.
Everything past that is narrow. Sixty days on stainless for cosmetic defects. Nothing on water filters or air purification cartridges. Nothing for a fault put down to accident, neglect, or the way the unit was installed, maintained or previously serviced.
Why being independent changes the route and not the cover
The long clause does not require the manufacturer’s own service arm. It routes the parts differently. Sub-Zero’s wording is that an owner using non-certified service contacts the manufacturer directly to receive the repaired or replacement parts, and that parts bought anywhere else are not reimbursed. The order travels through the household, and we fit what turns up.
Which puts the reading first. A parts claim wants a component named, not a symptom described, and that is the one thing a meter supplies on the day.
What we measure before we answer
- 01 Which component the readings actually condemn The long clause protects five named items and nothing else. Naming the part is what turns a complaint into a claim the manufacturer can act on.
- 02 Whether the cabinet runs one sealed system or two A combination built-in has separate refrigerator and freezer circuits. Cover is argued per failed part, so it matters which circuit produced the fault.
- 03 Pressures on both sides, once the cheap causes are out Sub-Zero's own table separates a leak from a restriction from a tired compressor. A claim needs that distinction, not a warm shelf.
- 04 Whether anything outside those five parts is failing too A control board sits outside the long clause entirely. Finding one beside a sealed-system fault changes the arithmetic before anything is ordered.
Repair
Pursuing the repair is nearly always right while any clause is live, because the most expensive parts in the cabinet are the ones the manufacturer keeps covering longest.
- Inside two years of original installation the cover takes in every part of the product and the labour with it.
- For five years the sealed system is covered the same way: compressor, condenser, evaporator, drier and all connecting tubing, parts and labour.
- For twelve years those same five parts are still repaired or replaced by Sub-Zero, with the household paying the other costs.
Replace
Buying only enters the conversation when the readings land outside every clause and the cabinet has more than one thing wrong with it at the same time.
- Cover excludes faults traced to accident, neglect, or poor installation, maintenance or earlier service.
- A board and a sealed-system part failing together, with the two-year period long gone, is the one pattern here that argues for a new machine.
We read the cabinet, name the failed part, and tell you plainly which clause it falls under and which it does not. Where the manufacturer owes the part, you hear that before we quote anything, and the quote covers only what is genuinely yours to pay for.
The two numbers this turns on
Nothing on this page falls inside a published band. The work is quoted after the diagnosis, and you hear the figure before anything is opened up.
$89 buys a full diagnosis rather than a look, and it is deducted from the price of the repair the moment you give the go-ahead. Bands are ranges because the part settles the figure and the part is not known until the cabinet has been read. You get the exact number for your unit before any work starts.
Three follow-ups
- Can you carry out the work under the Sub-Zero warranty?
- Not as the manufacturer's own service arm, because we are independent. Within the twelve-year sealed-system clause the parts route runs from Sub-Zero to the household, and we fit what arrives. Ring Sub-Zero Pro Repair Denver on (720) 704-2791 and we will name the clause.
- When does the clock start?
- Installation is the date that counts, not the day it was paid for; on a new build the two can sit far apart. Gather whatever paperwork the household holds and we will set it against the fault we find on the visit. (720) 704-2791.
- The fault is not in the sealed system. Is there any cover at all?
- Only inside the first two years, which take in every part and the labour together. Afterwards the five named items are all that remain, and an electronic control is not one of them. Sub-Zero Pro Repair Denver will say which side of that line you sit: (720) 704-2791.
Get the readings before you get a quote
Describe the symptom on the phone and you will usually hear what it probably is before anyone drives out. A $89 service call covers the visit and the full diagnosis in Denver, and comes off the repair once you approve it.
-
Read before quoted
Stored codes first, then air and coil temperatures, then amp draw at start-up, then pressures only if everything in front of them has been ruled out. The readings decide the quote, not the other way round.
-
Refrigeration only
Built-ins, panel-ready columns, undercounter units, ice makers and wine cabinets. No ranges, no dishwashers, no split attention.
-
We will say do not
A sealed-system repair runs $1,480–$3,420. On some cabinets that is money well spent and on some it is not, and you get told which before anything is opened up.

Reachable hours
Technicians are out 8:00 am – 8:00 pm, seven days. Someone picks up at any hour, so a failure overnight does not have to wait for an office to open before it is on the list.
