Nothing wrong with the cabinet and this one entry sitting in memory
A joint, not a part. The heater is doing its work and the lead that proves it has gone high in resistance or come adrift.

Sub-Zero reference · Denver, CO
EC 22 says a defrost began and the control never saw the voltage come back. The temperatures are normally untouched. Sub-Zero Pro Repair Denver meters one lead and both of its ends — (720) 704-2791.

Built-In 600-3 Series control, read in Diagnostic Mode
Sub-Zero prints one test against this code and nothing else. Force a defrost; if the compressor picks up five minutes in, the grey and white lead and its continuity back to the board are where the answer sits.
A short list is worth trusting. Nothing here is a complaint about temperature. The control is missing the report it expects as the cycle begins, and a freezer can hold its set point for weeks in that state — while quietly losing the one cycle that keeps its coil clear.

An entry dating from the weeks after a panel came off
A feedback lead left half seated on reassembly. We lift that connector first, because it takes a minute and rules out everything behind it.

Good continuity end to end and the entry still stored
The board's own input. Once the lead proves sound at both ends there is nothing else in the circuit left to blame, and that is the expensive end of a cheap code.
Control board $430–$940
Of the defrost group this is the entry that least deserves alarm. The cycle still runs and the cabinet still holds; what went missing is the confirmation. Resist clearing it on a loop, though — that stored line is the only evidence anyone arrives with.
